What is the SYMATEQ Engineering Hub?

It is a single online platform — a search engine for electrical engineers — that brings together everything an electrical PE or designer in the AEC industry needs day to day: the adopted NEC and energy code for all 50 states, solar and EV codes by state, 30+ NEC-based calculators and plain-English NEC and IECC explainers. One free login replaces a dozen scattered websites.

Which NEC edition does my state use?

It varies widely — states currently enforce editions ranging from NEC 2014 to NEC 2023, and home-rule states like Arizona, Kansas and Missouri have no statewide code at all, so the city or county decides. Use the interactive map above to check any state instantly, or open the Hub for the full adopted edition, energy code and amendment model with sources and verification dates.

Where can I find solar and EV charging codes for my state?

Solar PV and EV charging installations are governed by the NEC edition your state has adopted — Articles 690, 705 and 706 for solar and storage, Article 625 for EV charging — plus state-level permitting rules and utility interconnection requirements. The hub maps all of these state by state so you can check your project's jurisdiction in seconds.

Are the electrical calculators NEC-based and accurate?

Yes. Every calculator follows NEC methodology — Article 220 load calculations with correct demand factors, Table 310.16 conductor ampacity with temperature and bundling corrections, Chapter 9 conduit fill, NEC 450 transformer protection and more. Each formula was validated against worked examples before release, and results always cite the code section they come from.

Who is the Engineering Hub for?

Is the Engineering Hub free, and can I rely on it for permits?

Creating an account is free and unlocks the entire hub. The data is verified, dated and source-linked — but codes change and local amendments vary, so always confirm with the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) before submitting. Every page carries this disclaimer, and values needing re-confirmation are flagged explicitly rather than presented as final.
