What does a residential MEP permit set include?
The service and panel with a documented load calculation (NEC Article 220 in the US), lighting and receptacle plans, smoke and CO alarm and low-voltage layouts, HVAC loads and duct layout, and fixture counts with water, drain, vent and gas sizing, prepared for your engineer to review and issue.
How is a residential HVAC load calculated?
In the US the load follows ACCA Manual J, with equipment selection to Manual S and duct design to Manual D. The result gives the heating and cooling loads, the equipment size range and the duct sizes for the permit.
Can you design solar, battery and EV-ready circuits for a home?
Yes. PV to NEC Articles 690 and 705, battery storage to Article 706 and EV charging to Article 625, including the service load check that decides whether the panel needs upgrading. See solar, EV charging and backup power.
Do you work on multifamily buildings?
Yes. Unit and house panels, metering, risers, corridor and stair emergency lighting, and MEP coordination in Revit for townhouses and apartment buildings.
